Dr.  Gürsel  is born in 1972 in İzmir, Turkey. He graduated from Military Academy in 1994 as a systems engineer.  He hd his M.Sc. degree in information systems field in 2003 in Middle East Technical University (METU), and PhD in Medical Informatics field in 2012 again in METU. He is working in the Department of Medical Informatics, Gülhane Military Medical Academy, as medical informatics specialist. He is working in the fields of Healthcare Information Systems (HIS), Evaluation of HIS, End-User Expectations from HIS, Fuzzy Logic Applications in HIS, Interoperability in HIS. He is married and has two kids.
